A friend of mine reached out about creating a tool to help victims of domestic violence understand their rights. It puts those who may be lost, in touch with those who can help. The research we did around similar digital efforts showed a lack on concern for user experience. Because our main users would be college students, we needed something that users could trust was up to date and supplying them with the best information about what they were going through. Our decisions around narrative tone, user flow and interface elements were all influenced by making our users comfortable and safe.
